His gravestone (a modern one) says 1811.1 This likely replaced an older one that had decayed. Census records show he was born around 1812 or 1813, which also fits with the baptism record at Follmers above.
Henry appears to have moved to Ohio with first cousins through his uncle Christian (b. 1773). Henry appears in the 1850 census living near Reuben Hagenbuch in Salem, Champaign County, Ohio. Henry seems to have married Martha J. Long around 1848. The Longs are living nearby in Ohio. Martha could be a second marriage. Henry stays around the Urbana, Ohio area.
On the 1850 census he is listed as only having on child: Edwin. This seems to rule out a first marriage since no other children are present.
