William is buried near his supposed mother, Susanna Hagenbuch, in Creveling Cemetery.1 Her husband is thought to be a Joseph Hagenbuch who appears in the area in 1840, age 39-30.
William served in the Union Army. He lied about his age to join in 1863 for 90 days and later joined for a year at age 18 (correctly).

William’s mother appear to be Sarah Hagenbuch, b 1827, d. 1888 and her twin aunt Rebecca (Hagenbuch) Creveling b. 1827, d. 1886, m. Isaac Creveling. There may be more.
