Information from obituary and Findagrave.1 Ronald E. Hagenbuch Sr., 78, of Lehighton, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 3, in his residence. He was the husband of Darlene E. (Rohlfing) Hagenbuch. They were married for 39 years on July 23, 2016. Prior to retiring, he was a machinist for Martin Sprocket & Gear, Danielsville. He formerly worked in the same capacity at the Strick Corporation, Lehighton, and the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Elmer and Elsie (Young) Hagenbuch. He served our country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, having attained the rank of Spec-4 medical specialist. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting large and small game in the local area. He was a former member of the Jim Thorpe and Nesquehoning dart leagues and formerly coached the “Cousins II” girls’ softball team. Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Amy, wife of Chris Burkey of Lehighton, and Lori; a son, Ronald E. Jr.; a sister, Brenda Kuntz of Lehighton; and a grandson who he adored, Carson Burkey. He was also predeceased by a sister, Shirley Johnson. Service: Celebration of Life service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, All Saints Episcopal Church, Second and Coal streets, Lehighton, with the Rev. Rebecca Parsons Cancelliere officiating, followed by full military honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO. Interment, private. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday in the church.
