Dr. Allen Wesley Hagenbach graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago with honors. He was Supt. of Cook County Insane Asylum for some years at age 33, during an operation, he cut his finger which resulted in blood poisoning. Info in History of Lehigh Co., Vol 2, pages 488 and 679 states he died coming back from convalescence in CA, died on a train in Cleveland, TN?
