Harvey S. Clark, 83, of LaSalle, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at IVCH in Peru.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru with Rev. Harold Datzman, OSB officiating. Burial will follow at St. Vincent?s Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Clark was born on June 17, 1930 in LaSalle to Alexander D. and Evelyn (Newcomer) Clark. He married Dolores ?Dee? Challenger on November 29, 1952 at St. Joseph?s Church in Peru. He was a lifelong farmer in Dimmick and Waltham Townships and was owner and operator of Clark Trucking. He was a 60 year member of the Waltham Curling Club, Past President of the Waltham Curling Club, Past Director of the Illinois Curling Club. He enjoyed winters curling with friends at the Waltham Curling Club and bonspiels. He was an avid boater and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Starved Rock Marina.
He is survived by his wife Dolores ?Dee? Clark of LaSalle; one daughter, Mary Kay Clark of LaSalle; two brothers-in-law, Edward (Teresa) Challenger of Freeport and James Mitchell of Rockford; 3 nieces; 4 nephews; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Shirlyn J. Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Edward Challenger, Glenn Stevenson, Donald Scharlau, James Mitchell, and Steven Newcomer
