Clark B. Patterson, Jr., age 82, of Bloomsburg, unexpectedly died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at his home. Clark was born on Thursday, November 27, 1930 in Bloomsburg, the son of Clark B. “Pat” Patterson, Sr. and Geraldine (Hagenbuch) Columbo. After graduating from the Bloomsburg High School with the class of 1949, Clark enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge from the military, he was employed for many years at the former Magee Carpet Co. In 1996, he retired as Supervisor of Electricians at Geisinger Medical Center with 25 years service. During his retirement years, Clark was employed by the Bloomsburg Fair Association. He held that position from 1972 until 2012. Clark was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. He was a life member of the NRA, Life member of the Orangeville Sportsmen’s Club and the Pennsylvania Trappers Association. He was a life member of the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge #436 BPOE and a 50 year member of the Bloomsburg American Legion Post #273. His 50 year memberships also included Washington Lodge #265 F&AM and the Caldwell Consistory. On June 26, 1954 Clark married Anne Nuss who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Barbara Gill (Gregory Schnee) of Bloomsburg and Sara Robinson (Robert) of Annville; two grandchildren: Jason Robinson and Kristen Robinson and a sister: Jean Columbo of New York City. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg. Graveside services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bloomsburg WWII Memorial, c/o Bloomsburg Town Hall, 301 East Second St., Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
