Katherine M. Reding, 75, of DeKalb, Ill., passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at home after a long and courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Born May 4, 1932, in Blois, France, she was the daughter of Paul and Fernande Breton. She married Jack Reding on May 21, 1958, in Orleans, France. She is survived by her husband, Jack; five children, Jacqueline and Michael, both of DeKalb, Christine, of Ripon, Wis., William, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sylvie, of Boulder, Colo.; her grandchildren; several sisters and brothers in France and the United States; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place at the Anderson Funeral Home Crematory. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
