Bruce P. Hagenbuch, 62, of Forks Township, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center after being stricken while umpiring. Born April 13, 1944 in Williams Township, he was the son of the late Paul and Ruth Kester Hagenbuch. He and his wife, the former Renee Branch, would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on Sept. 9, 2006.

He was employed by Cadmus Specialty Publications where he worked for 21 years. Prior to that he was employed by his familys business, the former Hobson Printing Co. Bruce also umpired softball games in various leagues throughout eastern Pennsylvania for over 20 years.

He graduated from Wilson High School, Class of 1962 and attended Rochester Institute of Technology. Bruce served in the U.S. Air Force with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam receiving a Purple Heart and Medal of Valor. An avid Easton football and Lafayette basketball fan, Bruce also enjoyed antiquing with his wife and gardening. He attended St. Bernards Catholic Church, Easton. Bruce was a member of Forks Township Lions Club, Young Republican Club of Easton and the East Penn Umpires Association.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Renee; a son, Jonathan P. of Easton; two daughters, Jennie R. Parsons and her husband, John of Forks Township and Jessica A. of Hoboken, NJ; a brother, Jack of Williams Township, a sister, Phyllis Schurz of Easton and his in-laws, Pauline and Donald Branch of Nazareth. A brother, Marvin, died earlier.
