Information from Findagrave.1 She first married ______? Hering. One daughter, Celinda, was born to this marriage. Mary soon found herself a widow. She married second Peter Henry Ruckel. One daughter, Grazella, was born to this marriage before her death in 1827. Info for her parentage came from the hand written notes of Arthur B. Ruckel, dated 28 Dec 1904. Arthur was a grandson of Peter Ruckel.

While it isn’t clear who her parents were, there are a few clues. First, the history by her grandson appears to have spelled the name “Hagenbaugh.” Second, it is recorded in the Hidlay Cemetery records that she did indeed die on April 25, 1827 at the age of 24 years, 11 months, and 20 days. Finally, the 1810 census only shows a few options for families where she would fit. The most likely of these is that of Christian Hagenbuch (b. 1770). While he eventually moved to Ohio, he resided in this area of Pennsylvania for several decades and at least one of his sons put down roots here. No daughters are documented for him, though it shows he had a few on the 1810 census.
