Believed to be the daughter of Jacob (b. 1797) based upon early census records showing a daughter about this age. Also, the church records for St. Paul’s Lutheran in Allentown has a Carl/Charles Hagenbuch and a Maria Hagenbuch attending in the mid-1840s. Charles was her brother, 2 years younger. In 1844, Mary would have been 19 and Charles would have been 17. Her middle initial “E” likely is “Elizabeth” which was her mother’s name. Some information from Findagrave.1
