Information from death certificate and Findagrave.1 Parents are based upon there being no other George Hagenbuch known to be alive in 1842, though he was a teenager. The father’s name of the death certificate could be wrong or “George” could have been an unknown middle name used by another Hagenbuch whose first name is only known now. No “Anna Mary Hagenbuch” or “Anna Mary Rinker” has been found on the 1850 census, suggesting that the child might have adopted a different name if it was, indeed, a teenage pregnancy out of wedlock. There are Mellicks (John and Andrew Mellick) in Mount Pleasant Township, Columbia County in 1840 near a John Ringer. This shows a possible Mellick - Ringer connection, but not one to the Hagenbuchs, though the Hagenbuchs were closeby.
