Ruth Bushong, 97, of Hoopeston died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 15, 2013) at Heritage Manor Rehabilitation and Senior Living in Hoopeston.
She was born Dec. 6, 1915 in Hoopeston, the daughter of Elmer J. and Emma Finley Clouse. She married William Leslie Bushong on June 27, 1944 at Camp Hulen, Texas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Inez and Alice and three brothers, Earl, Ray and Walter.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois M. (Norman) Butzow and Nancy J. Bushong; one son, James L. (Donna) Bushong; one sister, Edith (Bernie) Carlson Deany; one sister-in-law, Anna Clouse; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker.
