OBITUARY
URBANA – Phyllis Jean Hagenbuch, age 80 of Urbana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 at Stonespring Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1941 in Urbana, Ohio to the late William Foster and Mary Lucille (Giffen) Taylor. In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Hagenbuch Jr.; daughter, Oleta M. (Herb) Thomas; sister, Linda Craig; brother, William Taylor Jr. “Billy” and brother-in-law, Richard Bletzacker.
She leaves behind her children to cherish her memory: Cheryl (James Dudley) Erwin, Joanna (Russell) Oppelt, Chris Hagenbuch, Daniel Hagenbuch and Jonathan (Amanda) Hagenbuch; grandchildren: Matthew (Amber), Brittany (Jamie), Adam (Sarah), Alicia (Travis), Sheena, Cody, Joseph, Ryan, Shayla, Kolton, and Hank; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Bletzacker; nephew, David Rice and brother-in-law, Rick Craig.
Phyllis retired from Champaign Nursing Home after 20 years of dedicated services. She enjoyed watching westerns and game shows and was always ready to play Yahtzee on family game night. Phyllis will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Her funeral will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 at WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Oak Dale Cemetery.
