Donald G. Hagenbuch

Obituary: Donald G. Hagenbuch, 62, a native of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away from natural causes on Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home in Brownville, New York. Donald Grady Hagenbuch was born on July 11, 1962, to the late Robert Andrews Hagenbuch and Anita Chaleen (Treadwell) Hagenbuch. Don attended public school in St. Johns County and was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church. After completing high school, Don served in the U.S. Navy and later became a licensed security guard in Florida. He moved to New York in 2017. Don is survived by his sisters, Deborah Hagenbuch-Reese, Dorothy (Edward) Taylor, and Patricia (Paul) Usina; two nephews, Andrew Usina and Brian Taylor; and two nieces, Sarah Taylor and Julia (Usina) Harden, all of St. Augustine. Don was known for his warm smile and generous spirit. He had a knack for finding the humor in almost any situation. He loved spending time with friends and family, bike riding, body surfing at his beloved St. Augustine beaches, online gaming, chess, and reading. A Memorial Service for Don will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Grace United Methodist Church, 8 Carrera Street, St. Augustine, Florida, 32084. There will be a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall. Don will be privately laid to rest near his predeceased parents at Evergreen Cemetery in St. Augustine.
