Information from Hagenbuch.org1 and his obituary1 David G. “Pappy” Hagenbuch, Sr., 86, of Williams Township, passed away Friday, November 11, 2005, in Easton Hospital. Born: August 6, 1919 in Williams Township, he was a son of the late Clayton and Mary Elizabeth Buttner Hagenbuch. Personal: He served with the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II. He and his wife, the former Gladys Kunsman, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on September 25th. David was employed by Hagenbuch’s Garage, Wilson Borough. He retired in 1981 from Interstate Asphalt. Years ago, he farmed and had an egg route in South Easton. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, and jigsaw puzzles. Memberships: He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Williams Township. He was a life member of Williams Township Fire Company, where he had been a volunteer fireman for many years. He was also a member of Brown & Lynch American Legion Post #9. Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Jr., and his wife, Gloria, of Williams Township, and Terry, and his wife, Sonja, of Brodheadsville, Pa.; three daughters, Eleanor Hagenbuch, of Norwood, Pa., Elaine Berry, and her husband, Douglas, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Ann Stetler, of Williams Township; two step-sons, Barry Henninger, and his companion, Marsha, of Palmerton, Pa., and Richard Henninger, and his wife, Lauri, of Kunkletown, Pa.; a step-daughter, Linda Comstock, and her husband, Danny, of Coplay, Pa.; three brothers, Llewellyn, of Bethlehem, Edgar, of Hellertown, and Eugene, of Williams Township; a sister, Anita Lux, of Palmer Township, 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. A step-son, Donald Henninger, a brother, Robert, and two sisters, Elizabeth Ruschman and Muriel, all died earlier. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church, 2745 Morgan Hill Road, Williams Township. Call from6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick St., Easton. Burial will be in St. John’s Union Cemetery.
