The family of Robert Dale Billman wishes to inform friends and family of his passing on Saturday, May 31, 2008. Robert was born Dec. 24, 1926 in Lorens, Iowa. Around 1929 the family moved to OK. Robert graduated from Capital Hill High School in OKC. He served as a staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army in WWII and he worked 37 years with Allied Super Markets retiring as District Manager. After retiring he bought a stamp machine business and an RV. He and his wife helped organize a group called the Land Run RV camping group and traveled many miles making fantastic memories. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Myrtle Billman and brother, Lloyde sons-in-law, Harold Box, Jr. and King Knowles. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce of 62 years daughters, Trina Knowles and Tresha Box, all of Edmond three grandchildren, Harold Box III and wife Summer of Edmond, Robert Box and wife Brandy of Albuquerque, NM, and Trista Hamm and husband Trey of Liberal, KS and five great grandchildren. Services for Robert will be 2:00 p.m., Wed., June 4 at Baggerley Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
