URBANA, Ohio – James F. Hagenbuch, 84, of Urbana, died at 8:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1929, in Urbana, Ohio, the son of Stephen J. and Anna (Kentner) Hagenbuch. James graduated from St. Mary High School, retired from International Harvester as an assembler and attended St. Mary Catholic Church, Urbana.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jo Findlay of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Theresa Ann McIntosh and husband Todd of Columbia, Mo., and Dr. Sandra Halterman of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Waldron of Springfield, Ohio; and brother, Joe Hagenbuch of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Angline (Lioi); sister, Martha; brother, Stephen; and a grandson. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014 in WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Larry Gearhart, celebrant. Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Wellsville, OH.
