birthdate is circa and died young. Mark Hagenbuch originally listed 1840 here but that seems close to the year he married Rebecca. Also Catherine was definitely born in 1841, so 1840 is unlikely for Jacob. 1845 seems more likely as a result. More research is needed into what Mark’s source was here.
