FROM Findagrave: Thomas E. Rehrig, 75, of Bath, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. He was the companion of Judy D. Sharer with whom he shared 30 wonderful years together. Born in Ashfield on September 04, 1939, he was a son of the late Edwin G. and Carrie A. (Hagenbuch) Rehrig.
Tom was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School, class of 1957, and later attended Bethlehem Business School. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co., where he worked as an electrician in the Coke Works Division for 23 years before retiring in 1996. After retiring, Tom served as a volunteer at Gracedale and was a member of the former Bath Community Visioning Committee, as well as a former member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield. Tom enjoyed the outdoors and listening to county music.
Survivors: In addition to his loving companion, Judy, he is survived by his grandson, Taylor Rehrig, as well as six additional grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Eckhart and her husband, Ralph of Whitehall; and a nephew, Jason Eckhart. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith T. Rehrig in 2013 and a brother, Melvin Rehrig.
Services: will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Dinkey Memorial Church Cemetery, East Penn Township.
