Mrs. Hagenbaugh died Feb. 17, 2001, at Altercare of Mentor, Concord Township.
Born Aug. 25, 1922, in Boulder, Colo., she lived in Cleveland, before moving to Mentor-on-the-Lake 45 years ago.
She was the past president of the United Methodist Women’s Society, for 15 years. She loved bowling, with the same team for 30 years. She was a huge Browns fan, even down to wearing orange tennis shoes.
Mrs. Hagenbaugh was a foster mother for 38 years, for the Lake County Human Services, retiring three years ago. She took care of 150 children.
Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Charles; daughters, Carolyn (Ronald) Giammaria of Solon and Debra (Jim) Battles of Mentor; sons, Charles Jr. “C.P.” (Becky) of Mifflinburg, Pa., Robert W. of Hartsgrove and Kris N. of Mentor-on-the-Lake; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Albert and Bertha Santee, are deceased.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
