KENNETH S. BALUTIS AGE 69 YEARS
Kenneth S. Balutis passed away on February 17, 2017 at Mass. General Hospital with his loving daughter Kristen Dynia at his side. Ken was a son of George and Susan (Istvan) Balutis, and was raised and educated in Bethlehem, PA.
After high school, Ken enlisted in the Naval Reserves where he received an Honorable Discharge in June 1972. Upon his discharge he was employed by Bethlehem Steel for over 25 years before retiring and moving to Salem. Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife Renee (Hagenbuch) with whom he had shared thirty years of marriage.
Ken and Renee Balutis had one child, Kristen Dynia, of Salem. Twelve years ago, Ken moved to Salem to live with his daughter Kristen Dynia and her husband Chris. Shortly after his move to Salem, he was graced with becoming a grandfather. Anyone that knew Ken, knew that Riley, was the apple of her “Pop Pop’s” life. Ken lived with Kristen, Chris and Riley for the entire time he resided in Salem where he made many friends in the neighborhood.
The family will reunite Ken with his beloved wife at the Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1100 Airport Road, Allentown, PA. Published in The Boston Globe on Feb. 23, 20171
