Mrs. Iva Leona LANE, 94, formerly of Argos, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Fairview nursing home at Plymouth following a lengthy illness. She resided at R.R. 5, Plymouth with a daughter, Mrs. Mabel BEAM.
She was born Sept. 27, 1879 in Argos to William and Diantha RAILSBACK BRYAN. Her first marriage was in 1900 to William J. HAGENBUSH, who died in 1918. On Nov. 15, 1921, in Argos, she was married to Mark C. LANE, who died in 1961. Mr. and Mrs. Lane operated Lane’s cafe, now Harvey’s cafe, in Argos.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lott (Corene) GROSSMAN, R.R.1, Argos, Mrs. Mabel BEAM, R.R. 5, Plymouth; Mrs. Charles (Mildred) BENDER, Plymouth, and Mrs. Lynn (Inez) LEIGHTY, Leesburg, Fla.; twenty-five grandchildren; seventy great-great grandchildren and a brother Xen BRYAN, Imperial Beach, Cal. A son, Ivo HAGENBUSH, died in 1973.
Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos with the Rev. Frank VALERIANO officiating. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m.
