Mary K. Taylor, 86, formerly of Limestone Township, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at Kramm Healthcare Center, Milton.
Born May 7, 1928 in Limestoneville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hannah (Sechler) Hagenbuch. On June 10, 1964 she married Grendon B. Taylor and they celebrated 28 years of marriage until his death August 9, 1992.
She was a 1947 graduate of Milton High School and had worked at the former Milton Shoe Factory and at Westinghouse in Sunbury.
She was baptized at Trinity Oak Grove Lutheran Church and attended Follmer Lutheran Church, rural Milton.
Earlier in life she was active with the 4-H club.
Mary enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother and looked forward to visiting with friends.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law: Sue E. and Glenn Hertzler, Milton; a son and daughter-in-law: Nevin E. and Linda Taylor of Spring Grove; two step-daughters and their husbands: Linda K. and Robert Sweitzer, Orangeville; and Lisa M. and Walter Umstead, Bloomsburg; five grandchildren: John (Lyndi) Hertzler, Watsontown; Jed Hertzler and Melani Hertzler, both of Milton; Chris and Jason Taylor, Spring Grove; four step-grandchildren: Patricia (Frank) Sweitzer-Shultz, of Orangeville; Robert (Stephanie) Sweitzer, Bloomsburg; Jessica and Jared Umstead of Bloomsburg; two great-grandchildren: Aubryana and Isaiah Hertzler; four step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Ellen Hagenbuch, Milton.
Preceding her in death besides her husband was a sister, Florence Robb and five brothers: Charles, Homer, Wilmer, Lawrence, and Lee Hagenbuch.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Thursday and from 10 to 11AM Friday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Thomas Glasoe of Follmer Luthernan Church, Milton, officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Fishing Creek Twp., Columbia County.1
