Stanley and wife Ann live on part of his parents’ farm, Cyrus Hagenbuch. Stanley was featured in one of the first articles written in Hagenbuch.org when he helped to right his great grandfather’s grave stone at Oak Grove Church. His obituary is as follows:

Stanley D. “Sonny” Hagenbuch, 87, of Danville, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He had been residing at Nazareth Memory Center, Danville for the past 2 1/2 years.

Born December 16, 1936 in Limestoneville, he was the son of the late Cyrus and Cleota (Marr) Hagenbuch. On January 27, 1957 he married the former Ann C.E. Shuman and they celebrated 63 years of marriage until her death on March 7, 2020.

He spent his early life growing up in Danville and worked at Silica Sand Company - Hanson Aggregates, Milton. He was a retired veteran of the US National Guard.

Surviving are three daughters: Debra Hagenbuch and Kathy Brown, both of Danville, and Carol Deitrick and her husband Scott of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren: Andrea (Jeremiah) Morrison, Titusville, Autumn (Dana Shaffer) Sanders, Bloomsburg, Cody (Tani) Deitrick in Virginia, and Ryan (Nicole) Deitrick, Shickshinny; four great-grandchildren: Hadley and Bennett Morrison, Titusville, Cooper Deitrick, Shickshinny, and Clayton Deitrick in Virginia; and sister: Arlene (James) Snyder, of Danville.

Preceding him in death besides his parents, and his wife, Ann Hagenbuch, was a daughter, Tammy Hagenbuch, and one sister, Jean Hagenbuch.

A private service will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
