Thomas married to Ida Heist in December, 1873. His son, Joseph’s, death certificate leads one to believe that he had a first wife, Elizabeth Leah, but this appears to be a misprint on the death certificate.
Ida Heist Hagenbuch dies in 1906 of cancer per death certificate and she is listed as married. The family believed Thomas was still living in 1906 but it appears he was “missing” and likely dead by that point. His death date of August 11, 1902 is the last day he was seen alive.
