Birth and death date via Findagrave.1 Determined to be the son of Christian after ruling out Joseph son of Henry (b. 1736) and Joseph son of Jacob (b. 1765).

The logic is as follows. In Jacob’s (b. 1765) will written in 18102 he mentions four underage sons: Jacob Jr., Joseph, John, and Daniel. It is known based upon grave records that Jacob Jr. was born in 1797. Daniel was born 1803. The sons are likely listen in birth order on the will. As a result, Joseph is born after 1797. Joseph buried in Easton was born in 1796 (according to Findagrave, however funeral records from St. John’s in Easton indicate a birth of Nov. 15, 1795 at age 57 years 10 mo), leaving Christian’s Joseph as the likely match.

Joseph’s 1853 will says he has a tavern in Easton at the corning of Spring Garden and Pomfret (3rd) Street in Easton. He gives almost everything to his son Jacob C. He also has a son Owen. He mentions 5 daughters as well and his wife Catherine.
